Photography means “drawing with light”
I'm Bill, an old-school photographer with a bag of new tricks
I learned the craft and art of photography during the film era. I set up my first darkroom as a teenager. I apprenticed with a respected Chattanooga photographer. I have sold cameras and taught photography.
Though I am fascinated by the flexibility of digital photography, I still love creating in the camera as if there was a roll of film behind the shutter.

Native
As a native and lifelong Chattanoogan, I appreciate and know how to capture and use the qualities of light that characterize the looks of the Southern Appalachian region.

Experienced
I first picked up a camera in 1956. By 1965, I had set up my first dark room. Photography is my lifelong passion. After bugging out of the finance and business worlds, I sold cameras and taught photography until the culture of local brick and mortar camera stores collapsed.

I'm an amateur musician married to a professional musician, and I especially love working with musicians, actors, and other performing artists in need of fine photography for personal branding
